Main purpose of the Poem

This week we have been observing the main idea. We have been reading Anzac poem and have been exploring with the main idea about that poem. The poem I read was called The soldier who never returned.  The main idea was about the soldier who never returned. I knew the main ideas was about this because I got a hint from the title. The title says the Soldier who never returned which tells us it is about a soldier who never returned for his drink.

I am kind and brave

I wonder what it will be like in the future

I see my friends helping me

I want to be smart in my education

I hear people laughing and saying "Be quiet"

I am kind and brave

I pretend that I am on X factor

I feel very happy and confident

I touch my own belongings

I worry about my parents

I cried when I fell over

I am kind and brave

I understand that things happen for a reason

I say that I should achieve my goals

I dream that my wishes come true

I try my best at getting a scholarship

I hope I become a doctor

I wait for my parents to get home

I am kind and brave

This is my poem I wrote in our Kiwi Kan lesson. They wrote the first words and we had to carry on with it. We had to fill out the gaps.
