Life Education

Today was our last session of Life Education. We watched a few clips on how our brain works and some information about being kind and puberty. Did you know that when a baby is born you have 100 billion brain cells which means it links up to stuff? e.g: Learning how to write your name would cover up one brain cell. Did you also know that when babies are born, they are born without knee caps which explains why they can't walk when they are new born. I have learnt some interesting and helpful facts that will help us later on in life. The part I really enjoyed about this session was that we got to meet Harold the Giraffe. Harold was really funny, he told us some jokes and we had to tell him some of the things we learnt for the past 4 sessions. I really enjoyed Life education in the caravan.

Life Education

The life education van gave us some booklets to help us with the learning that we have learnt from the past few sessions. Today we learnt about making the right choices, our health, feelings, and emotions. I think it is important to make the right choice because if we choose to make the bad choice there are always a consequence for that. We also learnt how to deal with pea pressure. Pea pressure is when someone forces or tries to make you do that specific thing. Like if I had to go straight home and my friend convinces me to go to the pools and tries forcing me to go there that would be Pea Pressure. In the photo above we were completing our booklet activities. In this booklet it has really fun activities that you can learn from and have fin at the same time.

Life Education

Life Education

Today we had our first session in the Life Ed caravan. We are going to have 4 sessions this week but we started today. In the caravan we learnt about our body parts and how they work, the names of these body parts and more body parts. The lady ( Nicole ) told us that our heart isn't the actual shape of the heart. The actual shape is the size of our fist. Did you know that when you look at something, you are looking at it upside down but then your brain quickly see it and thats how we see stuff. We also played a quick game. We played 2 games. The first game was she had to say a number and we had to clap that much in the beat and who ever went out of beat was out. It was really fun in the caravan because we learnt new stuff and had a bit of fun.
