My Scale Drawing

This is my scale drawing. I chose this picture because it had to do with our topic, Past Education. I had fun doing my scale drawing because I had to make it look the same which was really hard but it was still fun. The thing I didn't enjoy about drawing my scale diagram was that I had to make it fit in little squares and it was hard to make it look the same as the real picture. This was a really fun art to do.

My Day at the Movies

It was dark when I opened the door. I was so excited and full of happiness. I went with my family to the movies. I was a bit late when I opened the door , but when I bought my ticket and popcorn I looked at the time and I made it in time for the movie. Every step I took I could smell that juicy popcorn. I watched the movie Despicable Me 2.

I thought I came late but it seemed like I came really early. I wanted to watch it in 3D so I had to buy my glasses. When I took my popcorn I wanted to just eat the whole bucket of popcorn. I also wanted some of the lollies. I was  really interested in them. I went and had a look around the movies while I was waiting for my lollies.

Because I came so early, I had to wait for a long time for the movie to start. I was wandering around eating popcorn and all my lollies. All my lollies were nearly finish. I was almost thinking the movie was going to be canceled. I wasn’t really good at staying still for a long time.

Finally! Has the movie started? That was a long time I had to wait, now I don't have that much lollies and popcorn left and now. I don’t feel like watching the movie now! I saw everyone coming in. Because I just finished wandering around the place it was way too hard for me to be quiet and sit still. I started to calm down as the movie started. My face was full of joy I just couldn’t stop laughing. This movie is  really funny.

I liked the show because it looked real with the 3D glasses and it looked like the movie came out of the screen. When I heard the other people talking behind me it just made me want to talk too. I thought that it was the best movie ever watching it with 3D glasses.

Finally the movie was finished. I felt so hot I wanted some chocolate ice cream. I wanted to play around a lot because I usually don’t sit  down for a long time. Well I didn’t want to go home so I went and did some shopping before I went home. It would be so boring if I went home all I would do is just watch T.V.

Game Show

“I'm Nesi Barker and I'd like to welcome you to another episode of ‘The Bowling is fun!’”

The audience applauds often.

“Our contestant is Nesi Otuhouma, all the way from Auckland, Panmure. Hello, Nesi Otuhouma. 

Welcome to the show!”

“Thank you, Nesi. I feel excited to be here!”

“Well then, let's start the show. Our game for tonight is crazy. The object of the game is to guide the tiny ball through the maze so that it lands on a number, from 3 to 67. The higher the number, the more points you win. The more points you win, the better the prize. But the catch is, you get only one chance. Are you ready? Here's the tiny ball. Have a go at it!”

The tiny ball drops on the largest number.

“Well, Nesi Otuhouma, you just won yourself a brand new Car! What do you think of that?”

“Well,” says Nesi Otuhouma while jumping up and down, “That's great. Except, I'm only10 years old, so I can't drive it yet. But it will be really cool to be driven to school in it! Thanks!”

The audience applauds. Cut to commercial.

This is the game I learnt in spelling today. I think this game is cool because it gives you a paper and you fill in the information and it will give you a short tale about the information you typed. I really enjoyed this game.

Swimming

On Tuesdays and Thursdays room 7 go's swimming. I like it when we have swimming because I get to learn how to swim in the water. I also like the pool because we get some learning tips how to swim and how to stay safe in the water. The part I don't like is when people make big splashes in the water and it comes in my face.

My Popplet

Here is my Popplet brainstorm about Landforms. I learnt that the meaning of volcano means that an opening in the earth's crust from which molten lava that comes out of the volcanoe. I also learnt the meanings of mountains and rivers and oceans.

I can work out the area  of my rectangle using times tables.This one is 4 x 3 = 12

The Duffy Theater Show

On Tuesday the whole school went to the hall to see the Duffy show. The characters in the show were Duffy, Scruffy and Afi. The show was about Duffy loosing his words. The main thing they tried to teach us was to encourage us to read lots and lots of books.  The first thing that happened was when Scruffy wanted  Duffy to read a book and Duffy was just about to loose his words otherwise he wouldn't  be able to read a book to his brother Scruffy.  They went back to see the guy who stole his words and tried to guess the crossword to get his words back. The part I most enjoyed about the show was when they made funny rhymes. The part I didn't enjoy was when Duffy lost his words. I had fun watching the show.

My maths activity

This is the game I learnt in maths today. We are learning about area and perimeter. I learnt a lot from this game because I didn't know what these tearms meant. I enjoyed this game because it helped me understand what  area and  perimeter means.

My spelling game

                                             

This is the spelling game I learnt today. I learnt a lot about this game because it helped me to learn my spelling words for my homework. I had fun playing it over and over again because I can learn                                                               my spelling words on it so I can get better at it.                                                              

Punakaiki Rocks

Room 7's  topic was to learn about Punakaiki Rocks. This was a really interesting topic to learn about        because the Pancake rocks were formed over 30 million years ago.
