Xtra math

This week I have been practising these 3 basic facts:

6 - 3 = 3   18 - 7 = 11   14 - 5 = 9

Here is my Xtramath result:

You can see that I have learnt my facts this week because

I know them off by heart and I am getting better at them.

I also wrote a number story for my basic facts.  Here is one:

      Ana had 6 chocolates in the fridge. Along came Mere and ate

      3 and there was 3 chocolates left.

Xrtamath Result

         This week I practised these 3 facts :

         12 - 7 = 5   6 - 3 = 3   15 - 7 = 8

You will see in 6-3= 3 has a yellow dot . For my other two basic facts I got a yellow which means  I need to learn them and get faster. I am getting better at my basic facts when I am learning them.

Past Education By Nesi

I have learnt that the Flip snack was inspiring then doing an popplet. My flip book is about Past Education.  I have learnt had they had straps and we didn't and I also learnt that sometimes girls were shut in dark coaboards. I had fun making a flip book about the past.

Des Hunt visit

 The author Des Hunt came to visit us today. He used chemistry and physics  to teach us about writing. He made it interesting and fun. I learn't that your story is like a maze and you have to have a interesting hook.

My Xtra maths result

This is my Xtramath result on subtraction. I think I am getting better at my Xtramath each day because I practice it everyday.The only thing I am not happy about is that I got to much white stuff on it but I think I still did well.  

Tricks used in advertising

  This is my popplet  on Tricks on advertisements. I enjoyed doing my popplet and getting the information.

Handwriting with a toothpick

We did handwriting with a toothpick and ink because our topic was whats next. I found it hard because   I didn't like writing with a toothpick because it kept making a mess.
