Term 1 collage and Reflection

One thing I enjoyed about Term 1 most was when  Panmure Bridge School had a walk to Pt England Reserve. It was my favourite because we all went as a school and I spent time with my friends. I learnt an easy way to figure out how to add big numbers. One thing I found tricky was completing all my task in that time. My favourite subject was Maths because I always learnt something new in that subject. I  would like to improve my reading and the questions. One thing I enjoyed about Tech was when we always do fun things in Graphics.

Spelling Test

Today I have been practising to spell these words before I did my test. I have tried my best to get the answers correct. One hard word that I got stuck on was concessionaire. I had to connect the lines together. I used connect in my sentence to understand the meaning.

Hokulea

Today we went to Pt England Reserve to welcome the people that came all the way from Hawaii. They came all the way on  a waka. Hokulea continues to bring people together from all walks of life. There were over 2 thousand students down at Pt England reserve.

Ancestral Poem

This is my Ancestral poem. We had to follow instructions. We had to take a picture of our thumb print and get another sheet of paper and outline it. We had to write our poem on our thumb print to show our Identity.

Spelling

This is what I have been playing for spelling. One word I found hard was Mississippi. I found it hard because there were lots of S's, P's and I'i. I learnt some new words today.

Shavaughn ( Roimata from Shortland Street )

This is a photo of Panmure Bridge School with Shavaughn as known on Shortland St. Shavaughn came to Panmure Bridge School to be our role model. We learnt some facts on how she became a actor. She said you need to read before you can do anything else.

Queen Salote

This is my Prezi that I made about my famous person( Queen Salote ) My partner ( Ana ) and I worked together on one net book and made this. I learnt lots of information about  Queen Salote. I enjoyed making a prezi.

Spelling test

A new word I learnt was interfered. The most difficult word to remember how to spell was abbreviating. Nesi compared 2 prices to see which one is the cheapest. I used compared in my sentence to show I know the meaning of compared.

Reciprocal Reading

Today we did reciprocal reading. We put information on a padlet. Our story this week was call What the sea gives.

Cultural Identities

This map shows there cultures and countries where we are from in Room 6. Most of the students were born in New Zealand but come from different countries. I learnt how to insert images and videos onto a map.

Tongan Brochure

This is my Tongan brochure that I made. One of the facts that I learnt was the lakalaka dance. It was performed by girls and boys standing up. I learnt lots of information about my culture.

Family Art

This is my family art. This art shows what me and my family likes. I put alot of pictures and colourful colours. I found this artwork not so bad.

What language do you speak at home?

 I surveyed 4 people in room 6. I wanted to know what language people spoke at home. All of the countries were spoken the same amount of students at home. They were all the same amount of numbers.

What country were you born in?

In Room 6 there 5 people born in New Zealand. There was one person born from Tongan and from the U.S.A and from Samoa.
