For this activity we had to create a new sport to play in the Paralympic Games but we had to remember that there were athletes that can't run, walk, hear or see. So for this activity I chose to create a game called Wheel chair volleyball. To play this sport, they are all on wheel chairs ( right ) but instead of them running for the ball they are on there wheelchair. This game is probably like the normal volley ball but on wheelchairs. The only different thing is that the net is a bit shorter or bigger depending on the sizes of the wheelchair.
Here are 3 rules for this sport:
- Each player must me 30cm away from each other.
- The person who first receives the ball in the match must be the leader for the game for that night.
- Each time one team scores that will be 5 points.

Hi Nesi
You have made up a great sport to be played at the Paralympics but I think there is already a sport like that maybe? But I liked how you gave a clear explanation of the sport. You also made up good rules about the sport "Wheelchair Volleyball".
You have done a great job during the Winter holidays. I really enjoyed blogging with you.
Keep up the great work
Mia
Hello Nesi, those are some interesting rules you have made you there. I am not sure but should the athletes be blindfolded because there were not allowed to see.
Hi Nesi,
This is a really interesting sport. Like Mia, I wonder if this sport already exists in the Paralymic Games. Have you checked by any chance?
Regardless, I think that you have come up with a good idea and with three good rules. I was particularly interested in Rule #2 when you said that the person who receives the ball will become the leader for the game. I have never played a sport or even heard of one with this particular rule. Good thinking!
I hope that you have enjoyed the journey and that you will continue to post comments and support others who have yet to finish the journey.
On that note, huge congratulations for finishing the entire Winter Learning Journey. That is a huge accomplishment. Well done!!
Cheers, Rachel :)
